Q: Are all the hadith in Bukhari authentic according to their meaning? Some say that Bukhari hadith are not authentic with regards to meaning and just authentic with regards to sanad (chain of narration).
A. If a Hadeeth is authentic in its Sanad, obviously it will be authentic in the meaning and message it carries. People who say such things do not know what they are saying.
However, some Ahaadeeth in Bukhaari may be interpreted differently by different Scholars and Imams of the various Madhabs, while the meanings of some of these Ahaadeeth may have been cancelled out due to the existence of other Ahaadeeth on the same subject. But every single Hadeeth bears the stamp of authenticity in no uncertain terms.
