Q: Are women allowed to wear imitation rings?
A: Imitation rings are not allowed because the Messenger of Allah r prohibited the use of all metal rings besides gold and silver. This includes all types of metal such as copper, brass, etc, and the reason for this was that these types of rings were used by idol worshippers in those days. Note that this prohibition only applies to rings. As for bangles, necklaces, bracelets, etc. these are permissible regardless of whether they are made of metal, gold, silver, plastic, etc. (Raddul Muhtaar V26 P364, Al Jauharatun Nayyirah V6 P154)
