Q: Can I keep a python as a pet?
A. Snakes are one of the five which Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam) commanded that they be killed. (Muslim V4 P17). Thus it will not be permissible to keep snakes, pythons, etc. as pets.
