Q: Is talaaq given while the wife is in haidh, valid? And are three talaaq issued at once
valid? Can a man marry his stepmother?
A: 1) The talaaq issued to the wife whilst she is menstruating is valid and binding. 2) Likewise,
three talaaq issued at once are valid and binding. 3) It is haraam for a man to marry his father’s
wife (step-mother) even after the demise of the father. This is prohibited in verse 22 of Surah
Nisaa.
