Q: Is it correct that when no water is available and a person is in a state of janabat (needs a compulsory Ghusl/bath), he may perform tayamum? If so, when water does become available, does such a person then have to perform ghusl or will he be considered paak (clean)?

Yes he should make tayammum.However when sufficient water becomes available then his tayammum will break and he has to make ghusl.Checked and approved by Mufti Siraj Desai
