Q: If a wife is not following her husband, she does what she like. Though the husband has advised her with love and with anger, yet she still continues disrespecting him. In this situation what can he do? Can he marry another girl or should he divorce his first wife, or should he leave everything to Allah and be silent?
A. It is best to adopt Sabr and maintain silence. Many people have become close to Allah Ta’aala because of the Sabr they made with their wives. If a wife has some bad qualities in her, most certainly she will possess some excellent qualities too. Focus on her good qualities to gain peace of mind. Read a Kitaab daily in the house with the family all listening. Inculcate a Deeni atmosphere in your home. This will enhance peace and harmony, Inshaa Allah.
